Stakeholder: Hillary Yonce

HILLARY YONCE is an improviser, actor, writer, producer, and scientist based in Durham, NC. Native to North Carolina, she received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from UNC-Chapel Hill, and her Master of Science in Hydrology at the University of Arizona. Hillary has been performing improv comedy for over a decade, starting with her undergraduate UNC team CHiPs for which she was also the director, and also performing while in grad school with Univ. of Arizona's The Charles Darwin Experience. Hillary performed regularly at DSI Comedy Theater, and now calls Mettlesome home.

Hillary is a registered professional hydrologist and works as a scientist for a private consulting firm in RTP by day, and spends her evenings writing and performing comedy through improv and sketch comedy productions. She is the co-founder of the artist collaborative Pens and Stitches for which she creates custom embroidery artwork. She is the former head writer and editor-in-chief of Chapel Hill public access television gameshow #HotSeat, and is currently the producer of Vaudeville Varieties, a live musical comedy variety sketch show here in the Triangle.

Hillary's improv performance and training has allowed her to perform in festivals across the country including the Del Close Marathon (NYC), Spontaneous Combustion (Atlanta), Fracas (LA), District Improv Festival (DC), New South Comedy Festival (SC), and also here at home at the NC Comedy Arts Festival. Hillary has been a performing member of Mettlesome since its inception, performs on the house team Hush Hush, and has also coached the Secret Society.
