Public Works is a reading series produced by Mettlesome. We take plays, one-acts, sketches, or screen plays by local writers and bring them to life on Sunday afternoon.
The reading is free with a $15 suggested donation for bottomless mimosas (until we run out).
ABOUT THE SCRIPT:
Crumple or Fold
by Tyler Schwartz
Crumple or Fold is a satirical take on tribalism in the 21st century. What starts as a disagreement between loved ones over an oddly divisive binary question regarding bathroom habits, soon snowballs into a worldwide phenomenon, causing a global crisis that threatens the future of humankind as we know it. Put simply (and alliteratively), this is a parable about the political proliferation of pooping. Crumple or Fold shows a world going to shit, literally, and asks the final question - What can we do stop it?
